I am a first generation Latina woman who believes in breaking down the cultural barriers and stigma involved with underserved populations receiving mental health services. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker and received my Masters Degree from Boise State University. I became passionate about this field as an adolescent growing up in a community where the acculturation process often led to conflicting emotions, feelings, and behaviors. From a young age, it was clear to me that I wanted to be part of helping individuals/families navigate emerging societal pressures through managing their mental health symptoms and maximizing their overall well-being.
